Poor Knights Divers is the Tutukaka coast's newest PADI resort centre and dive charter.
Designed by divers, for divers, our 11m power catamaran has been
purpose built to allow more than enough room for 10 divers and 3
crew.
|
We aren't going to tell you we have the best, most exciting
or fastest boat, what we want you to do is come and try it
for yourselves; we don't think you will be disappointed. |
|
|
Although our prime destination will be the Poor Knights Islands,
the Sugar Loaf and The Pinnacles, we want to go where you
want to go, whether that is for a coastal cray or scallop
dive, investigating the Matapouri mangroves, or further afield to Mimiwhangata
or the Hen & Chickens.

Because we take a maximum of 10 experienced divers we can
be flexible about where and when to go; let us know what you
have in mind and we will see what we can do.
|
|
You don't need to dive to enjoy this unique part of New Zealand,
let us take you for an afternoon's sightseeing to the Poor
Knights or for a coastal cruise at dusk.
|
|
|
Our boat is also available for social events or full charter.
From $1150 inc GST. Yummy lunch included!
Contact us for options.

Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve
This is a marine reserve. While landing on the Islands is prohibited, the marine reserve around them is yours to enjoy, provided you observe the rules and follow the environmental care code. A number of activities are prohibited to protect the marine life of the area.
Fishing of any kind is an offence.
-
The taking or disturbing of any marine life, including shellfish, seaweed and sea urchin is also an offence.
-
It is an offence to take any part of the seafloor, including rocks and shells, from the reserve, or to erect any structure.
-
Do not feed the fish. This disturbs their natural behaviour and is an offence.
-
It is an offence for boats or jet skis to exceed five knots within 200m of the land.
-
Please take your rubbish away with you. Littering and pollution are offences.
Landing on any of the islands, stacks or rocks of the Poor Knights Islands, including the Sugarloaf and High Peaks (Pinnacles) to the south, is prohibited. These rules are to protect the Islands from fire and the accidental introduction of pests like rats or cats and invasive weeds. Any one of these could result in an ecological catastrophe for the islands and the species that survive on them. |
