Padi Open Water Course
This course is your portal to the magic of the underwater world. Course fees include, classroom presentations, skill development in the pool, 4 open water dives at the spectacular Poor Knights Islands, full gear hire, books and learning material, certification fees and ID photos.
Extra cost: Medical Certificate, NZ regulations require a medical certificate from a doctor before in water activities commence. This can be arranged at time of booking.(Approx.NZ$60.00)
Our course is run on a request basis which means you take the course when you want. We fit in with you. They are run on a one to one basis which means we go at your speed, no pressures to keep up with the rest of the class, YOU are the class. NZ$950

Padi Advanced Open Water Course The next step in your underwater exploration. The Padi advanced open water course expands your capabilities and understanding of the underwater environment. This is when the bulk of the learning is done in and on the water, not in the classroom. The course prerequisites are certification as an open water diver, from Padi or another recognized training organization.
5 dives are required to complete the course 2 of which are required and 3 electives.
The required courses are underwater navigation and deep dive. Underwater Navigation gives you a better understanding of compass use and also using the environment to help you find your way underwater. The deep requirement is where you learn to safely extend your depth limit to a maximum of 30 meters.
The rest of the course is up to you. You pick your 3 electives. Options can include but are not limited to; underwater photography, naturalist, boat dive, wreck, search and recovery and for the adventurist, night dive.
Course fees include: 5 dives, gear hire, including specialty items required for your dive, all required Padi course materials, certification fees and ID photos.
Our course is run on a one to one basis, so you get to do what you want, when you want, no pressure. NZ$625
Padi Specialty Courses
Padi offers a wide variety of specialty courses to help you expand your knowledge of any facet of diving that piques your interest. Deep, Wreck, Digital Underwater Photography, Search and Recovery and Padi’s most popular specialty, Enriched Air Diver are all available at Poor Knights Divers.
Course fees include all diving required, specialty items required for the dive, equipment rental, Padi course materials, Padi course fees and ID photos.

Padi Rescue Diver Course Padi’s rescue course is often called by participants, the most enjoyable course they have ever taken. This is because this is a real hands on course. You learn rescue skills to help yourself and others in times of emergency. This is a great course for building self confidence as well. This course consists of rescue scenarios which give you the opportunity to practice new skills in realistic conditions, thus building confidence in a controlled environment.
Course prerequisites: Padi Advanced Open Water or equivalent, current first aid certificate.
Course fees include all gear hire, diving at the Poor Knights Islands, Padi course material, Padi certification fees and ID photos. NZ$800
Padi Emergency First Response Course Training in primary and secondary care of people in need. You are taught CPR and First Aid. This is a course for the layperson, a person with no special medical understanding. This fulfills the first aid requirement for the Padi Rescue and Divemaster courses.
Course fees include all training material and certification fees NZ$150
Padi Divemaster Course
Enrolment is your first step to becoming a Padi Pro. This course gives you the knowledge and confidence to lead divers in the pursuit of underwater world exploration and to assist instructors with students. We will tailor a course to your schedule. How long it takes is up to you. The course is not a breeze and requires diligence and motivation, though the rewards and satisfaction of helping other divers and instructors is unbeatable.
Prerequisites: 20 logged dives at enrolment, 60 by completion, Padi Rescue Diver or equivalent, Emergency First Response certificate, medical clearance and be at least 18 yrs. of age.
Course fees include all Padi required course materials, all dives required for course completion, tanks and weights, Padi Divemaster application fees, ID photos. NZ$1750
NOTE: This is a hands on course; you will be helping with all facets of the dive operation. Gear preparation, maintenance of dive gear, boat etc. Customer relations, dive planning and briefings.
